WLI Interim Director Lois Giordano participated in the Lutheran Education Association leadership meetings with the LEA Executive team, Board of Directors, Network leaders, and the 2011 Convocation Steering Committee at Concordia University Chicago in September. Lois serves as Vice-Chair of the EncourAGEnet leadership team.
EncourAGEnet was created in 2008 to link LEA members who are approaching retirement or already retired, to celebrate and showcase examples of post-career service options, and to disseminate information and resources about issues related to retirement and aging.
We invite you to connect to Lutheran Education Association's community of retired/retiring Lutheran educators called EncourAGEnet. You do not need to be an LEA member to participate on the listserv. This listserv will connect educators and others with current resources, events, models, ideas, personal stories, and other ministry opportunities. We hope to celebrate wherever the Lord has placed us older adults. You will receive LEA's EncourAGEnet bulletin each week, and you will be able to network with other EncourAGEnet listserv participants. Some resources will be available only to LEA members.
To register for EncourAGEnet go to http://www.lea.org/encouragenetreg.htm.
